Archiving / saving onto a network
One of the key benefits of Quick-Minutes is its unrivalled flexibility and protection when archiving. Once a recording has been made, it is saved simultaneously on your local machine and on a centralised server for instant back-up purposes. Files can be stored according to your preferences without sacrificing file integrity.

Bookmarks
With Quick-Minutes, you no longer have to search through audio files to find the relevant sections as you can easily place bookmarks within the audio stream. You can create detailed descriptions for every bookmark, ensuring that any listener can quickly understand the reasoning for each bookmark. Bookmarks are designed to be easily skipped to, giving you instant navigation of the audio file; and bookmarks can be created or amended in both recording and playback modes.

Four step recording
In order to make the recording process as simple as possible, there are only four steps from start to completion: New Session, Start Session, End Session and Save Session. To facilitate ease of use, each step of the process is numbered in sequence, so even novice users of Quick-Minutes know exactly which stage of the recording process they are currently working within. This four step system is specifically designed to reduce the occurrence of files not being saved or overwritten with new files.

Review recording while still recording.
Because Quick-Minutes works with digital data, it is able to review a recording while the session is still recording. So for example, if you were in an interview situation, you could review previous answers, and record any new comments made during the review process. This makes it ideal for usage within the police force, human resources, legal system and many other workplaces.

Transcription friendly
Quick-Minutes has been designed to streamline the transcription process as much as possible. Bookmarks highlight important parts of the recording, while separate notes can also be added to provide further information or instructions for transcriptionists. Quick-Minutes also offers support for USB foot-pedals, allowing transcriptionists to utilise the audio transport controls (Play, Stop, Fast Forward, Rewind, etc) completely hands free, speeding up the transcription process. In addition, transcriptionists can work on-line or off-line, both with high quality digital audio.

No technical expertise necessary
Unlike some audio products, you don’t need to be a technical expert to use Quick-Minutes. It’s been designed to be simple to use, with an easy to understand interface. All the commands are in plain English, with no technical jargon to confuse you, allowing you to concentrate on the job at hand. While Quick-Minutes is undoubtedly a powerful program, it’s never complex, and any computer user, expert or novice will be able to use it with confidence.

No cassettes / floppy disks needed – all saved centrally
With older analogue voice recorders, users usually had a large amount of tapes, and the risk of recording over or losing your important recordings was high. It’s the same problem with storing digital data on floppy disks, sooner or later disks and all the files contained within go missing or are overwritten with new data. With Quick-Minutes, there’s no need for any external media, as all files are centrally stored.

Use personal, desktop or array microphones
You are able to use a wide range of microphones according to your needs with Quick-Minutes, giving you complete flexibility in your application of the program. The boxed copy of Quick-Minutes comes complete with a headset microphone, suitable for recording individual notes or dictation. You can also use a desktop or array microphone; ideal for recording multi-person meetings. You can even record audio onto a digital recorder, and use it with Quick-Minutes at a later time.

Ideal for business, conferences, legal and more
The range of applications for Quick-Minutes is truly vast, and it can quickly be employed in businesses, legal practices and even at home. Already Quick-Minutes is in use by government departments, who are utilising it to record and archive meetings with clients. They’ve found that Quick-Minutes’ ease of archiving means that the instances of lost files is greatly reduced. You can even burn the audio files to CD for simple distribution, a feature that is ideal when recording seminars or conferences; or you can even have the files posted on a website within minutes of the meeting finishing. The information recorded is stored in a digital format within your existing IT infrastructure that is securely archived and easily retrieved, improving productivity and insuring accountability.

Educational benefits
The potential benefits within educational facilities are numerous. Bookmarks enable visual and hearing impaired students, employees, and the public the capability of reading the important components of a lecture that can be played back with pin point accuracy from the sections of the lecture where the notes were added. Quick-Minutes can also be used to teach foreign students languages as lecturers can record passages of languages that can be reviewed by the student with the text of the passages added to the various sections of the recordings for review. This solution is ideal for students to practice speaking and can be used in language labs or through distance learning.
